Telling dr. swim was taking meds but not?

Swim has had anxiety, insomnia, and panic attacks since a young age. He has tried MANY different anti-depressants and they ALL caused him to feel zombied out and suicidal!!! Swim has been going to a suboxone dr. for 4 months now and has been on just subs and Klonazepam until last month the dr. tried paroxetine. Swim hasn't filled the script and is supposed to have been 3 or so weeks on it and has an appointment the 17th of August!!!

Swims question is could swim tell the dr. he took them and they gave the same nasty side-effects like feeling depressed, NO sex drive, suicidal thoughts, etc... Would the dr. call and see if swim filled the medication? Swim really is terrified of taking it and the nasty side-effects!!! Swims anxiety seems fine with just the Klonopin! Should swim tell his dr. this?

Thanks in advance -bdb1-

Re: Telling dr. swim was taking meds but not?

no--there's no one that he can call to verify that you filled the script...or, perhaps i should say, "there's no one that he WILL call to verify" (unless you give him a reason to become suspicious).

Do not apply this information to any other drugs/rx's, however...

I think you're ok in this situation, just to say what you already know the effects to be...there's no urine paroxetine-screen.

But you better be damn ready for a urine drug screen...and it better show +benzo's and +bupe...any other positives (drugs of abuse) and you've got yourself a whole different beast to deal with.

In answer to your last question...yes, tell him what actually works.

Re: Telling dr. swim was taking meds but not?

Thanks ALOT swiRichard!!! Swim will do what he planned on doing and saying his past experienced side-effects. Swim is sure it would just result in swim getting all those nasty effects and then having them linger around for awhile. Swim will tell his dr. he feels comfortable with the sub dosage and the klonazepam dose and state that his anxiety and panic are well taken care of with the previous meds alone minus the paxil!!!

Swims doc seems REALLY cool and understanding so swim is sure he'll take care of swim! All have a great night and day!!! -bdb1-

Re: Telling dr. swim was taking meds but not?

The drugs swiy asked about in this thread are also worth mentioning:

http://www.drugs-forum.co.uk/forum/s...ad.php?t=68597

and be ready to explain the positive test for amphetamines as well. You test positive for amphetamines and he will call otherwise, and then if you haven't told him about the alprazolam prescription you are going to end up losing all your prescriptions or possibily even getting into trouble. DId they make you sign one of those narcotic something-or-other agreement forms?

I saw someone actually get their prescriptions taken away from them while i was in the waiting room one day in this manner. A lady had violated the narcotics contract by filling a script from another dr. and they flat-out refused to dispense anymore narcotics to her. They need to cover their own ass as well.

Why would he be treating you with paroxetine and clonazepam if he already knew you were seeing a psych who was giving you amphetamine and alprazolam? I don't think peroxetine/amphetamine interact well... If things are working well for you, you dont want to mess it up.
