Comedown - 26 hours...going...strong...? (DOx rather than LSD)

SWIM took 2 hits of LSD 26 hours ago. He hasn't slept at all. But he has been noticing something very "fake" about reality itself. It is almost as if reality is playing tricks on him...It is almost as if reality has a mind of its own.

SWIM has done acid 3 or 4 times before this, and at first said acid taken seemed normal. However, he didn't get an actual trip until about 4-5 hours in. 2 hours later he thought he was peaking. Ever since then it has been a perpetual comedown, but it never seems to end. The visuals seem about half as intense as the peak, and the "mind-fuck aspect" is still present.

SWIM is rather experienced in a variety of psychedelics and is very used to riding out bad trips...but he has never experienced anything as strange as this..."unreality"...?

In the past few hours, SWIM has developed a habit of talking to himself. Its as if he no longer has a voice in his head. The inner monologue of his head is only spoken aloud.

SWIM feels as if it's at a point where he would be able to sleep, but he lays down in bed and notices how manufactured this reality is. He will abruptly sway into discomfort.

SWIM has never had this happen before. I guess his main question is...is this whole "fake" metaphysical "vibe", or "fake vibe" about reality, common? ...or is he just insane?

SWIM should take a warm bath and drink some liquid - milk preferably. The tryptophan in milk helps sleep.

No - SWIM hasn't gone nuts. It sounds like a DOx such as DOB. SWIM will be fine - and find another distributor of VsZ. Sleep well. Nothing is real anyway!

the falseness of reality is common. Unknown used to get it all the time on DXM, and has had it a few times on common psychedelics...also sounds like SWIY had something Not LSD.... maybe a DOx drug?

Hahaha! In any case - SWIM will be fine. The come-down is a bitch, but repairing work will happen. SWIM will kick themselves later.

It takes awhile, but SWIM will recuperate. Then kick SWIM's ass for a while.

Like some have pointed out, what you got a hold of probably was not lsd. Most likely DOX, I would suspect DOB because of the very long duration.

The 4-5 hour come up is a dead give away that what you had probably was not lsd.

You will be okay, just ride it out and don't use that source next time, unless you like tripping for 26 hours.

SWIM took DOB one time and he was twacked out for nearly 24 hours. You just have to go with it. Just wondering, when you took the blotter, did it have a very strong bitter taste to it?

Since the method of delivery wasn't listed in the original post it's hard to say what this was. SWIM has had after affects last well into the next few days after a strong LSD experience, but visual activity usually inevitably ceases at around the 16 hour mark on fairly high doses.

If it was in pill form or any other medium that would allow for large doses then anything is possible.

To me this sounds like AMT or 5-MeO-AMT/DMT experiences i've read about, which sound a bit like being trapped aboard the cartoonland express for a day or two as opposed to the moderate and subtle visual activity of DOx.

SWIM recently had 1 hit of blotter that gave them the same feeling. SWIM does not suspect it was a DOx, because of the quick onset and duration of the trip (12 hrs). It is not that SWIY is crazy, but the rest of the world. Everything just seems so fake a premeditated and predictable, like everything is a set-up. SWIM had a "Truman Show" trip as they like to call it. They felt like the world was revolving around them and everybody but them was in on it. The events that had been happening in their life just seemed to crazy to be real. Not to worry, it is only a temporary feeling. It was probably brought on by whatever stuff SWIY is dealing with in their life right now.
