very concerned about pathway to addiction

Hi,

SWIM drank PPT last night, it kept her up all night, more unpleasant than pleasant... but SWIM is concerned about addiction, perhaps to opiates in general. SWIM is stuck with 44 pods (very potent)... and, a fearfully potent 2nd wash from the first 6 pods... what should SWIM do?

PODS ARE STRANGE?

swims an opiate addict, he' currently on methadone but his opiate of choice is heroin (iv). his advice is dont use any more than once a week, you could proberly get away with twice a week a few days apart. honestly you need to be careful, its really easy to get addicted, all you need is a 3-5 day binge and you'll experience withdrawls, even though the physical symptom will be mild at the begining (get much worse over time) but the depression and anxiety can be overwhelming leading a person to desire a 'fix', then your off and running. if you feel you cant moderate your use maybe give some (or charge a nominal fee) to some friends to get rid of the rest of your pods. swim isnt bullshiting or exagerating opiate addictiom can take over a persons life and make the individual to things he'd never normally do to support his habit, it'll fuck your life up.

if what swim wrote scares you, good. swim fucked his life up, becareful dont let it happen to you.

Re: very concerned about pathway to addiction

SWIM is reluctant to inquire, particularly on a public forum such as this... but is SWIY willing to share some of the "depths of depravity" induced by the biological love of opiates?

SWIM assures SWIY that SWIM is scared, hence the prior post. SWIM didn't even enjoy the experience, it disrupted functioning for well over 24 hours... generally quite unpleasant.

Yeah, SWIM totally agrees with everything you wrote drug-bot...SWIM too screwed up her life because of drugs. She has been on methadone for a month now so things are getting better for her but it is a constant uphill struggle...a battle she wishes she didn't have to fight. She started with crack-cocaine 8 years ago, then 2 years ago she started to use prescription painkillers (including morphine tablets) to comedown from crack. Before long she was using heroin. The worst thing was the depression...before she was even physically hooked on the stuff, the low moods she felt after using h was so unbearable that it ensured continued use. It creeps up on you: SWIM thought (because she already knew the danger of addiction from her crack use) that she wouldn't get hooked to anything else but very quickly she was caught up in the heroin trap.
SWIM has also done things that she never dreamt she would do to get another fix....stuff she never did in eight years of crack addiction she did within a few months of being on heroin. SWIM is not gonna even tell SWIY about them cos they are so low but really, drug-bot is definately not exaggerating...please listen and try and cutdown or even stop. Feel free to pm me if you want too...
