Oxycontin - 40 mg a day for 2 weeks. what is the right way to ween?

Before you start calling me a pussy let me just say i used to do 80s in one line. Ive gone through withdrawals several times and i guess i get em pretty bad. Any suggestions on the proper way to ween yourself of oxy or any other information on making DTs a little less horrible?

You're not a pussy. That's a terrible assumption to make. It tells me that you feel you need to impress people by showing them how much you can take. That is a very foolish way to do drugs. Swim strongly suggests going cold turkey and just dealing with it. If you can do that, then you will more than likely stay clean. It sucks, but once you make it through you will feel like a much stronger person. Swim speaks from experience.

swim being a fellow opiate addict would sugget against going 'cold turkey', he finds your just as apept to relapse (just his own experience, and that of some other addicts he knows) so it realy isnt worth the pain and discomfort. swim suggests going down 5mg a day till you hit 0mg (all oral doses dont snort), if you feel the need 2 days at 5mg may be better. oxycontin is alot easier to detox from as compared to heroin because dosages are known unlike dopes wide rangeing possible purity.
