Combinations - Clonazepam potentiating Adderall?

originally swim had taken 50 mg of adderall IR. swim enjoyed it until it started the "come down", whereupon swim took three mg of klonopin, expecting it to slow him down a bit, take the edge off, hopefully make him tired. what actually happened was just a slight effect on swim's coordination (average benzo clumsiness) with none of the anxiolytic or relaxing effects, and whats more it seemed to make swim more awake (not necessarily to be confused with more alert) and swim wasnt able to sleep at all until the following night (presumably when the klonopin wore off). is this normal? have any other swimmers had similar experiences?

swim should note he continued taking klonopin trying to get the sedating effects and ended up taking about 13 mg total
