questions about color differences between batches of 5meodmt
the drifter procured some 5meodmt a while back and it was a yellowish color and in "rocks" (for lack of a better term). however a recent batch he picked up was a rust colored brown powder....
so the million dollar question is...is this normal? is the brown color a sign that the 5meo is degraded? or could it just be a difference in manafacturing? (the two batches were acquired from different companies) if it is a sign that the 5meo is degraded, would it just affect potency, or can it degrade into something dangerous? |

Re: questions about color differences between batches of 5meodmt
Swirx knows that if the 5-meo-dmt oxidizes it turns a brownish color and is less potent, still active but a good deal less potent. Rust color may be what I would call reddish... There happens to be a batch of reddish oxidized 5-meo-dmt going around at the moment, unsure if swiy happened accross some of it...

Re: questions about color differences between batches of 5meodmt
Agreed ^^^. Bongo Research, Ltd. had supplies from many rare-chemical suppliers - official - and these were all pure-white crystal. Long-term storage would slowly morph it to a reddish-brown tinged crystal. This seemed to happen most quickly with large crystals of this molecule. The finely divided (powdery) samples maintained their color the best - regardless of storage. Bongo isn't sure why this is.
