Purity - UK: Whats up with the quality and supply of Heroin right now?

It seems where SWIM lives not only is there a shortage but the quality also seems to be pretty awful.

In another post here I talked about SWIM's problems.

After trying several other dealers in this part of the world(Slough) SWIM found that either they did'nt have any supply at this time or when they did it was small and the quality was not very good. To give numbers, on Sunday SIM tried 6 dealers, 3 had none and did'nt would not have more for a couple of days, 2 would be getting some in the next few hours and one had but SWIM knew from the previous day that the quality was VERY bad... SWIM waited for one of the others SWIM knew would rather sell nothing than junk(no pun intended). When SWIM did meet up the dealer explained that he had to go quite far out the area to buy and warned that the quality was no where near as good as his normal standard(which is very high). On a side note it seemed that other than for the dealer SWIM did'nt go to that day becuase of the product SWIM bought on Saturday, white(crack) was pretty scarce also.

In SWIM's experience this is odd for this locality as there are a great number of addicts and consequently quite a few dealers. The market is competitive with all dealers trying to out do each other in terms of quality and quantity.

SWIM also finds it odd as SWIM believes that right now we are in the middle of harvest season as regards opium. SWIM thought that it was at this time of year that opium from the likes of Afghanistan was plentiful therefore there would be plenty of brown(Heroin) around.

Maybe this is just something going on in SWIM's area.

SWIM remembers that this time last year(as far as SWIM remembers) there was no problem... in fact SWIM does'nt remember problems like this for over 10 years.... well not that SWIM did'nt know the reason for(ie busts of main suppliers). Then again SWIM used to know a LOT more dealers both here and in London and used to be pretty close to a 'wholesaler' in
London and where SWIM lives was a few doors down to a local drugs kingpin.... both of these people are now staying in one of Her majesty's hotels.

Thinking about it, in August last year SWIM could get 1gram of VERY good brown for the price of one 0.6. The quality of that was soo good that if SWIM took that now in the quantity SWIM is taking the current brown going around now it would of easily OD'd SWIM twice over.

Any other UK SWIM's having the same experience or know why this is happening at a time when in SWIM's opinion the market should be crowded?

swim's on a methadone script and his clinic here in Scotland is giving him a hard time so he hasn't tried to score for a week or two but there were problems in the Aberdeen and Dundee areas a couple of weeks ago. swim said that it was possible to get but it wasn't a one phone call job......rather it was a phoning around and waiting around job.....needless to say swim got sorted but it wasn't as easy as usual.

Hopefully it'll all be cleared up and sorted soon as swim needs a 1/4 oz to take away on holiday to france in a week or so.

Just a quick other thought. Swim.....although he's had a habit for 15 odd years doesn't feel that he's completely immersed in the drug scene......there are a lot more people who know a lot more people in the know than swim (if that makes sense?). However in those 15 years there has not been 1 day (literally) when swim has not been able to score. What a mockery that makes of the war on drugs! They often like to talk up their success but really, as we all know, its a complete failure..............thank god!

My fiend hasn't scored in weeks either, he usually got a 1/16 every 2nd week but that stopped recently, something happened i think and for the first time the cash was collected then he got the next day. The shit he got was really bad, it was like orange bash on the foil and it solidified in the tool, he gave most of it back and hasn't touched any since.

My fiend always knew at least one source where he would get it eventually that day, but recently he doesn't really know who is doing it in the area. He has a few phone numbers but hasn't seen them in so long and can't be bothered really.

in swims area it is the exact opposite. In his area ther has been a surge of highly pure china white heroin and a reduction in the supply of black tar. The "china white" could potentially be fentanyl laced however.
