Embarking on a Vision Quest

Vision Quest, Spiritual Journey, Psychedelic Adventure, whatever you want to call it, this is the thread.

Do any of you have friends that have taken a psychedelic drug in this kind of setting?

Do they go out into nature? Go camping in the woods? Sit by a lake? Build a sweat lodge?

Solo, small groups, or big groups?

Chanting, talking, or silence?

Is there a leader in charge? Do they stay together, or do people go off an do their own thing?

SWIM used to often go into the woods and dose up. SWIM prefers the do your own thing method in small groups. ritual bogs things down in SWIMs opinion although can be useful therapeutically.

Swim recommend reading something on Native American Medicine, Healing, and how to approach them in ceremonies. If you want to take a spiritual approach Swim says this would be the best way to begin your vision quest...but follow your own intuition.
