What's Propyphenazone
Smim's got some tablets with Propyphenazone. Is CWE going to work with that in tablets?
Lesa added 651 Minutes and 20 Seconds later... I mean codeine + paracetamol + caffeine + that shit, now I am interested is that filtered too, solubility is similar to paracetamol so I guess it is but I am not sure... Last edited by Lesa; 24-06-2008 at 10:26. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Re: What's Propyphenazone
First and paramount is the removal of the majority of the paracetamol. This can easily be performed by just about anyone. The removal of caffeine requires more sophisticated skills and chemicals. UTFSE (search engine) and look up CWE. And Caffeine. A CWE will not remove caffeine as caffeine is water-soluble. You'll find it.
I would suggest your monkey wait until a more pure formulation - lacking caffeine - is made available to the monkey before proceeding. If a doctor prescribed my Lab-Ape, Bongo, a preparation with caffeine - Bongo would explain that caffeine makes him nervous and jittery. That he'd need a Valium to go along with it*! * he would - Bongo can tolerate one cup of coffee in the morning. More makes him jump out of his shoes. Yuck. |

Re: What's Propyphenazone
yes swim knows everything you said and he filters caffeine with active charcoal and everything works great with tablets which contain paracetamol codeine and caffeine. Now he has got similar pills only with one more active chemical which is that propyphenazone. The question was if cold water extraction filters that as well as paracetamol....

Re: What's Propyphenazone
I can't retrieve solubility data regards propyphenazone. As it is a ketone, I could only speculate that it would be partially soluble in water. My advice above stands. Monkey should look for a less cluttered preparation.
