GHB/GBL and Alcohol
SWIM took some GBL midday today and is looking to go out with a couple of mates for a drink tonight.
When is it safe to drink alcohol after intake of GBL? When is it safe to take GBL after intake of alcohol? |

Re: GHB/GBL and Alcohol
Well I beleive the half life is like 2 hours. So after like 6 hours you would be safe. The problem with GBL is that it inhibits the metabolism of alcohol. So that means that you will have a higher blood alcohol longer on GBL than without it.

Re: GHB/GBL and Alcohol
About GHB (SWIM has not made experiences with GBL yet) and alcohol combination in general:
After 2 months of GHB consumption, SWIM has tried GHB in combination with alcohol and found out that this was actually very nice. The GHB boosted the positive effects of alcohol and the alcohol boosted the positive effects of GHB. There was but one disadvantage: With this combination one could easily fall asleep - even more easily than with GHB monoconsumption! SWIM doesn't want to animate someone to consume GHB in combination with alcohol, this CAN actually be VERY dangerous! There are some rules if SWIY wants to take advantage of this combination: - SWIY has to be an experienced user of GHB. He has to know everything about dosage and effects and he has to have the ability do give himself the perfect dose. - SWIY MUST - under ANY circumstances - start with an extremely low dose (SWIMs first dose combined was about one quarter of a normal GHB dose and a half liter of beer, another half liter after 2 h) and watch the reaction of his body on the combination careful. If SWIY has even only a little problem with taking breath, he should not proceed. I know that many persons have a very bad opinion about the GHB-alcohol combination (which is surely reasonable), but for SWIM it worked extremely well for the last three months without any negative side effects apart from becoming very tired after some hours. |

Re: GHB/GBL and Alcohol
Yes, SWIM thought so, that was the reason why he pointed out the fact that he never did GBL.
A friend of SWIM once had a normal dose of GBL plus one (!!!) beer. He lost consciousness and vomited while being unconscious in the shower. I would never recommend combining alcohol + GBL, because IMHO GBL is much more incalculable than GHB, which is dangerous enough ... |
