SWIM's withdrawel symptoms... help

SWIM and SWIMs girlfriend were by no means heavy users. They used together only, and the drug of choice was percocet with the ocassional oxycontin. It started off for about 4 days of percs in a row, with a 3 day break, then 5 days in a row, with a week break, then 4 days in a row, then a week break, then three nights of oc and two nights of percs.

So in about a little less then 2 months time SWIM would say they used 15 times or so.

They both stoped cold turkey last wednesday and have both noticed an EXTREMELY crappy quality of sleep. tossing and turning all night, inability to get comfortable.

Also SWIMs girlfriend a few times throughout day will randomly feel "weird" and feel really "low" as she describes. She will stop talking and basically be depressed for 15 minutes.

SWIM has something similiar to this, he will get very quiet and he will seem distant from everyone and not want to talk and feel low himself. SWIMs girlfriend seems to react worse to this though.

SWIM's question is, are these symptoms of opiate withdrawel and if so , about how long till quality of life can return to normal. Also has anyone else gone through the random daily depression thing...

Re: SWIM's withdrawel symptoms... help

Those are in fact symptoms of opiate withdrawals and from the low amount of usage id say you can expect to feel like normal in a week or 2. Alot of people experience depression from opiate withdrawals, its pretty standard.
