Effects - Natural immunity to ambien? Zolpidem

so tonight SWIM took 10mg of ambien, about 20 minutes ago and feels nothing at all.. he was wondering, since the large intake of diphenhydramine that he intakes would have anything to do with it? can he have a natural tolerance to ambien? should he take more?

I'm not sure on the onset time but it does have a completely different mechanism of action, similar to benzodiazepines, than diphenhydramine. Probably just give it some time, relax, and get away from the computer. It's known that the light given from a computer can keep people awake by simulating daylight and interfering with normal melatonin secretion by the pineal bland.

In Swims country ambien is known as Stillnox, swim gets terrible nightmares from ambien and much prefers generic Imovane. For some bizare reason Immovane doesnt work on swim, only the generic (Zopiclone).

SWIM finds you have to be in bed with your eyes closed for ambien to kick in at 10mg oral.

yes. well SWIM took 20mg last night, and wow that was something he has never experienced. it was basically a carnival everywhere. he felt like a robot, and everything on his computer was spinning around, he saw little pink people running up his arm. it was awesome, then he had the best sleep ever.. he said he is gonna do it again tonight
