Hi, I am asking a question on behalf of my friend N. My friend N has had acid plenty of times in the past yet his friend W hasn't. His friend W wants to try only he has some sort of heart condition, nothing too major, but N isn't sure on the specifics of it. N doesn't think W shoudl try acid because he has a heart condition but he still wants too. N was wondering if acid has been know to have any affects on the heart, irregular beating or does it put any extra strain on it, all that sort of thing. N's main concern was the duration.

Actual LSD25 has very little effect on the heart. A slightly faster pulse perhaps - but no worse than taking a brisk walk.

But materials mis-represented as LSD25 - DOx compounds for instance, can cause increased cardiac output like any amphetamine. Best to test material, and confer with a heart specialist.

If your friend can take a middle-school P.E. class, he can handle LSD's effects on the cardiovascular system. As panthers007 stated, LSD does not have a strong stimulant component on the heart.

But, like panthers said, it is best to assure that the substance being ingested is LSD and not a substituted amphetamine. A simple and good way to test blotters that one buys is by a reagent kit, If the sample does not change color, swim doesn't have a substituted amphetamine (DOC, DOB, DOM, DOI) If it changes to a brownish color, it indicates an amphetamine and unless swiy is into that kind of thing keep it out of the hands of anyone with a heart condition. Another way to test is to hold it to a blacklight and see if it glows, if it doesn't glow, it's a no go.
