psuedo oil given to swim

swim was given an amount of liquid oily substance and told its psuedo and I asked questions but I was told just that word Psuedo.It is a clear sort of yellowy oily with a horrible bitter sort of acidic taste and I measured the P.H and its around 6.swim has only ever done rp/I reactions and dosn't want to waste what is left.swim cant get the crap to crystalise and raising P.h dosn't do a thing and when heated after being mixed with bit of alcohol ends up boing black or dark dark orange and it is still an oil and not burnt as such just goes black and tastes the same almost.I have searched and only found very limited info on this stuff and want to know if it can be used as is and if so what ratio's to use and if they alter from being liquid to powder in weight .If that cant be done how is it cleaned up?If it cant be cleaned up then what the hell is it.Swim has heard of liquid suzy b4 but never seen it or played with it and is very grateful if some bee out there can point in right direction cause If it works more can be gotten.I know how to use in Hcl form but this is new to me.The stuff is from Australia also if that helps answer anything.

SWIY does not have pseudo freebase.Pseudo freebase is a solid at room temperature.Most likely could be Ephedrine freebase,which is an oily liquid.

You may want to try a melting point test(not sure what the MP is of top of my head).Do something to make sure what you are dealing with.

Then take a small amount and dissolve into a DRY non-polar.Gas with HCl to get ephedrine HCl crystals.

If SWIY is sure he has ehpedrine FB,he can react as is if he adjust the ratio slightly.This stuff would be great for a Birch Reduction,which FB is used to get best results.DO NOT attempt a Birch until one has enough chemical knowledge not to kill one's self(which is easy to do with AA!)

I would give you more info,but don't feel like spoon feeding all this info.It has taken SWIM years of UTFSE to get what knowledge he has today.I suggest you do the same.

Thankf for reply,yeah I beleive in using the FSE etc and have been for a while.Swim is a bit of a dick and use dif brand ph strips and when tested did it wrong and put wrong end in thus getting dif reading .The ph is 6.5 as is and I did just a small reraction HP/i with just 1ml and let it go for 24 hrs and nothing spectacular but got a whole .3 out of it but still havent done the 2nd pull and has been a bit rushed then not enough time.So my free base theory is wrong and it must be some wired shit thats in it t stp it forming the salt hcl.Any idea?
