Ketamine experiences are some of the hardest to explain because because they don't happen in "the real world"...it's all in your mind (then again, I guess most hallucinations are in your mind).
It's extremely similar to dreams...with K, you're conscious, or semi-conscious, but what you're seeing may have nothing to do with what you saw or was around you before you entered the K-hole.

It's a trip...it's definitely a trip...just very different.

SWIM takes small doses of K hourly.
SWIM hates tripping.
SWIM hates getting near the K Hole.
but SWIM lives and dies for his K.
SWIM thinks K can be different things for different folks.

At high doses swim has gotten some pretty crazy visuals(saw what looked like blood dripping down walls, lightning flying throughout the room, feet looked like they were melting into stairs). Its definetly a trip and a really wild one at that.

At high doses Swiy will trip. Swim finds if he has a medium-to-high dose, he will drift in and out of these periods where he is semi-concious and experiencing pretty crazy visuals. Swim sees a lot of different things, but it's hard to describe. When Swim opens his eyes, they disappear, and he feels "normal" although there is still ketamine in his system. He can repeat this about five-six times.

If Swim has a high-to-very-high dose then it is a lot more difficult to come back to reality, so to speak. The semi-concious periods are so much deeper, they last longer, swim "sees" more, and these are deep in the K-hole. Sometimes, Swim can open his eyes and still be having visuals. A simple blink can put him back into a semi-concious state.

It really depends on dose. The more Swiy has, the more Swiy will trip.

You are confusing hallucinations with trips, A trip is when you mind goes to other places, which is pretty much wot ket does. An hallucination is when you actually see things with your own eyes, usually colours, patterns and shapes. When you have a ket trip, you dont usually see anything with your eyes, but you get mental images of the trip your in, like when your dreaming

He wouldn't call it a "trip" because he associates the word with acid and mushrooms, where reality is distorted, and a fair bit of paranoia is encountered. He would call it an Out-of-Body-Experience. He never gets paranoid because he is unaware of the fact that he is himself.
