Play reinforces the danger of drugs

YOUNGSTERS are to get a message in the dangers of using drugs through drama this week.
‘Wings to Fly’, a Gwent Police production, is being staged at Glyncoed Comprehensive School in Ebbw Vale this week for all year six pupils from Blaenau Gwent primary schools.
The show is being performed by students from the Performing Arts Department of Glyncoed Comprehensive and aims to educate young people about making important choices in their lives and the dangers of substance misuse.
Today (April 22) the force’s Chief Constable, Mike Tonge; the High Sheriff of Gwent, Judith Child and the Member of Parliament for Blaenau Gwent, Dai Davies will be attending the afternoon performance, when a presentation will be made on behalf of the Gwent Police Shrievalty Trust to ensure this important part of the All Wales School Liaison Core Programme continue
