Dose - Excessive dosage - high tolerance or shit MD?

My monkey's used MD a few times before, he usually bombs about 0.3 of a gram of powder, and has a pretty good night.

However, my monkey once tried just 0.1g, and got absolutely bugger all effect other than his usual gurning.

On friday my monkey was clubbing with half a g of MD, he bombed it all and was pretty fucked. Later, he misguidedly bought another half g, and as it was such a fine powder snorted this with his monkey mate.

Obviously this was a riciculous amount to take, and my monkey felt a bit of a cock. He's usually very responsible/self aware with MD, but was having such a good night he just wanted more.

OK so my monkey's finally getting to his point... he didn't really have any adverse effects - he chewed his tongue to fuck, given, and sweated like a bit of a pig... but other than that, nothing. Not even a headache the next morning.

Also, my monkey doesn't think he's ever rolled. He's had this: extreme mood lift ,increased willingness to communicate, increase in energy (stimulation) ,ego softening, feelings of comfort, belonging, and closeness to others, feelings of love and empathy, forgiveness, urge to hug and kiss people
but my monkey never gets the sensual stuff - the supposed magic - intense colours, smells, affinity to the music or euphoria.

Don't get him wrong, he still has a great night on the loved up, speedy high, but he's never had any really intense experiences on it.

He doesn't think it's the MD itself, as his monkey mate does exactly the same stuff and has his eyes rolling back in his head after just one 0.1g bomb.

So basically my monkey was wondering why he seems to have such high tolerance nd seemingly can't roll. He's not a heavy monkey at all, and certainly isn't a regular user.

He'd appreciate any insights

Extreme mood lift is the same thing as euphoria.

Anyway SWIM thinks the best thing is not to over-analyse things, just accept whatever experience it gives you, even if it doesn't match all of your expectations exactly

As he said, it still makes for an amazing night out... makes nights on the lash so bloody boring in comparison. And god knows it's cheaper.

He was just a bit perplexed as to how he polished off a gram without any adverse effects...

Damn right, and another plus is you don't see people on ecstasy acting like loud dickheads like you do with booze...Anyway yeah a gram is a lot but some people I know of have done far, far more than that and lived to tell the tale so it's not a good idea but chances are you'll be fine anyway

1) If you're snorting, it takes more (but is still pretty fun )

2) As people say, "less is more". If you take half a gram, it'll get you rolling like a bitch, but not, it seems to swim, DOUBLE the roll of 250 mg. Personally, swim like to roll hard when he rolls, and just tries to limit the occasions. He'll bomb 250, and then hours later if it looks like it'll be a full on late night, he might take more. The most swim has taken is 500 mg in one night, two bombs spaced out 2 1/2 hours.

Aside from the stated fact that the monkey has used this material in a cavalier and reckless manner - not weighing out proper amounts, not following dosage guidelines, using same to get 'fucked up' on rather than for what it's noted for - it seems the monkey has unreasonable expectations from MDMA.

MDMA is not noted for being a visual drug generally. Nor does it enhance other sensations such as smell or taste etc. Regards it's ability to induce a euphoric state, this is dependent on following proper dosage guidelines. Taking too large an amount (.5gm!) will not bring about the calm clear state, from which euphoria rises, that MDMA is noted for. This is what is usually meant by the term "rolling." Regards sensual effects, MDMA is not a fuck-drug. Most people find it impossible to achieve an orgasm while under it's influence. The sensual aspects are involved with the empathy and love one feels towards others. Not the mechanical act of love making.

Larger than proper amounts will bring about a mostly amphetamine-type effect - tension, anxiety, sweating, tremulousness - while blocking the effects most monkey's seek.

What a good monkey would do now is hang up his banana for awhile - a few months - to restore his brain chemistry to normal levels (serotonin). Then, if the monkey chooses, weigh out a proper amount: 120 - 140mg. orally - not snorted. This can be boosted ONCE at the 1 to 1 1/2 hour mark with another 40 -50mg MAX. More will only increase the amphetamine effects.
