Still Awake
SWIM is fairly certain his roll contained no speed, but he seems still very awake (at 8:54AM) after his roll last night. He says this was probably due to him being dumb and taking two (very good) rolls instead of just sticking to one. He did, indeed, sleep for about 3 hours and, by the way it sounds, this is the most sleep anyone gets after rolling. He will apparently be going to Walgreens very soon for some 5-HTP for he and his friends who also rolled. He tells me that last night was the best (and possibly only real) ecstasy-roll he's ever had. He also tells me his life is possibly permanently changed for the better because of his experience with MDMA last night.

Re: Still Awake
MDMA is still chemically related the amphetamine, so it will impede swiy from going to sleep easily, and thats why swiy should get some potent cannabis indica to smoke and pass out.

Re: Still Awake
Nice cool bath (not hot!). Few glasses of juice - avoid alcohol. Music on low volume. Relaxation techniques - start by relaxing one's jaw and tongue. Then neck. Slowly work down. Eyes relaxed. Each breath - more relaxed. Let the thoughts go. Each breath deeper...slower...
Don't drown. |

Re: Still Awake
Instead of 5-htp, swim would suggest melatonin. Works like a charm. Benadryl works well. The combo will bring most people down. Swim has heards many fish complain about how benadryl isn't natural, but then swim just reminds them that the just took X and there's nothing natural about that.

Re: Still Awake
SwiM read that it is caused by the lack of serotonin in the brain after a roll. We need elevated serotonin levels to fall asleep (it's used in dreaming) and without it we just kind of lay there awake...however swiM thinks that taking serotonin supplements wouldn't do as well as finding ways to replinish it naturally.
One person sold swiM once to follow her grandmother's advice of a glass of warm milk. Try orange juice (highly recommended!) An exhilarating shower, delicious meal (if swiY's up to eating), awesome tunes, good games, friends -- anything that would make her feel happy again would help to trigger the body's reformation of serotonin levels, and thus help swiY get to sleep. Alternatively, try to think of all the things that make swiY happy when she lays down. Meditation may be useful if she's skilled in this. Pot, of course (not alcohol!). SwiM read once that when sleeping in an unfamiliar place that being warmer in that place will help her to fall asleep earlier - so perhaps raise the heater a little more than usual and see if it helps. Some people suggest melatonin, wouldn't surprise swiM. Or, take an OTC sleep aid. Just don't use it for too many days in a row as those can make it hard to fall asleep after a few days' use too. Benadryl will knock anyone out hehe. |
