Hydrocodone Bitartrate Oral Solution

An aquaintance of mine received a bottle of Hydrocodone Bitartrate Oral Solution and expressed an intrest in injecting it. As I don't want my friend to do anything stupid or that could hurt himself I want to know is this a safe practice? Anyone have any experience with this?
