Preliminary studies using 200mg codiene in auqueous solution showed increased analgesia and respiratory depression when letting the solution absorb sublingually for 10 minutes or more.

Practically though, codeine tastes revolting, and to get that much you would generally have to perform a CWE resulting in a large volume of water. Unfortunately I have no pure codeine phosphate tabs, or I'd try it

SWIM doubts that it is of any help since it needs to be converted in the liver to f.e. morphine in order to work. it wont work otherwise, so sublingual into the bloodstream wont do much more than taken orally, except for the terrible taste

Well it will get metabolised, just not first pass. Like when you iv/snort/smoke or otherwise get a drug straight into your bloodstream it will eventually get to your liver, that's how most drugs get eliminated from your body, through the liver.
Anyway I'd say holding codeine water in your mouth would be a major PITA, for probably little or no gain.

exactly.. of course it will pass the liver sometime, but just not in a good matter of time in order for SWIY to get high
