Codeine + Bendryl + beer

Is it safe to take around 200mg of codeine, and combine it with 25-50mg of diphenhydramine and 1 beer??

Should, and I stress the should, be fine. The DPH dose is low, low amount of alcohol and moderate amount of codeine should mean that the respiratory depression shouldn't be too bad. But then again everyone is different, if you've done codeine before it should be ok.
