Can we crack this thing open about the many conflicting "opinions", concerning the adequate duration of the RP/I/E reflux???!!!! I know that I am a "newbie"..... but all pleeeeeez take my word that, my interest in the phenethylamine derivatives has captivated me for much of my life resulting in a vast understanding of the technology through which its existenceis possible. Funny thing is....... despite my intense research on this subject, along with all my other fellow enthusiests......... somehow, (as rediculous as it so seems to me....), I have never before READ a fucking PATENT on this, reduction of benzyl alcohols! Anybody EVER FUCKING SEEN ONE??!!! Who is the flapper that ever figured out that for SOME REASON,(I assume due to molecular logistics concerning the positions of the alcohol/benzyl groups in inner molecular relation to one another or-WHATEVER???!), this HALOGENATING acid ,HI, opts to remove an OH group- then saturate the beta carbon with hydrogen........ or simply, orthadox OXIDATION/REDUCTION..... or simply, GET THE FUCKIN' OXYGEN OFF THE MOTHERFUKA'----you know what the fuck!!!!Amerikan fukin peeeeepul.........instead of attaching the I to the friggin' beta position????? Where is the raw invention of this in writing? DONT YOU FUCKIN' TELL ME THAT THE AMERIKAN PPL HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN FRAUDULENTLY PLACED IN CAPTIVITY UNDER COUNTLESS OCCASIONS FOR POSSESSING SOMETHING THAT IS NOT WHAT THE FORENSIC LAB CLAIMS IT IS---METHAMPHETAMINE, A SCHEDULE :"LOCK DOWN, inmate!"- 'dangerous drug'---in such the instance it is just iodoephedrine everyone is FLAPPED the fuck out on!!!!!!! have you ever tried looking in C.A. or Beilstiens instead of patents???? Wonder what a little bit of real searching will bring up, hmmm............ or is it that the reaction has been known about for ssssssssoooooooo long that it is non patentable? hmmmm.....


I suggest you take a chemical literature course, you'll be amazed at what you come up with. does scientific literature ( not patents ) ring a bell?

The more pure , read A.C.S. grade, or higher your starting materials, the shorter and more efficient your reflux time.

When i posted this , i was joking on many of the points i bantered throughout the script of it... I appologize for not using pretty little black font and all. Hopefully, considering this environment, my fellow enthusiests on this subject, will forgive me in my excited state of moronic emphasis?!??


geez, "chemicallybound", what valuable advice you have contributed....I'm sure everyone is as greatful as myself. You SURE are a chemical fuckin' genious. I wanna be just like you when I grow up! You mean.........if someone used better purified starting reagents, and used more P, and I in proportion to E- the reflux will go faster?! WOW- I dont think i EVER coulda thouight that up!!! It is however unfortunate that nobody took a real position on my proposed speculation. If you respond to this post, and what i am asking about appears to be common knowledge to everyone- lets not be all holier than fuckin' thou.... because as far as i can tell doing my scrupulous rersearch on the subject of methamphetamine, what i am curious about falls in somewhat of a grey area where no one knows the truth. Maybe someone here may know it?!


I am concerned with the optically active nature of the two enantiomers of methamphetamine- that being dextro and of course levo..... we all know there are two forms.... but it seems to me that the opinions of various enthusiests differ about the differences these optical isomers reflect as far as physiologically........


Fester said L-form, the DEA says D-form(having never done the shit I cannot credit their opinion however), Ive had various cooks tell me various things.....I'm like the friggin X-files-I SIMPLY WANT THE TRUTH!!!
