Opinions - Zopiclone as anti-anxiety drug?

I was searching my house for anything that would be useful for anxiety and all I found was zopiclone and zaleplon. I heard zopiclone is the closest to benzos My questions are:

1. Which one is better for anxiety?
2. How much to take? Probably no more than 3.75mg zopiclone/5mg zaleplon.
3. Would OTC diphenhydramine be better for anxiety than either?

SWIM always thought 3-4mg of Eszopiclone felt a lot like 1mg of alprazolam,xanax(feeling of 1mg without tolerance), just a sort of anxiety ridden relaxation. SWIM thinks OTC diphenhydramine would make SWIY too sleepy.

Diphenhydramine is an interesting substance but swim would definitely not call it an anxiolytic!Swim recently has a prescription for Lunesta(Eszopiclone)and it is definitely very much like a benzodiazepine but with its own unique feel.It certainly will reduce anxiety.Swim had the 3 mg ones and found just one was good for reducing anxiety.Swim found himself taking more than one for recreational purposes.One thing that does make them effective for treating anxiety in swims opinion is how fast acting they are.Swim isn't sure if regular Zopiclone is faster acting than Lunesta though.

Thanks. I guess I'll try the zopiclone. And it should be the same as eszopiclone(Lunesta) because it's half eszopiclone and half inactive.

SWIM likes benzos and has to admit when the doctor has prescribed SWIM zopiclone in the past, SWIM tendeded to eat them for the pleasurable benzo-like effects rather than using them as sleeping pills (which SWIM doesn't find them very good for anyhow).

Zopiclone is actually quite a nice relaxing drug.

My gurl's Dr told her that Zopiclone could actually work better for anxiety than clonazepam due to its short half life, the problem is that a person with no tolerance for it would likely fall asleep (or want to fall asleep) on half a pill, but when my gurls tolerance was way up there (3 X 7.5mg at night for sleep) she would take half a pill during the day sometimes and found it worked great for her anxiety without sedating her.

Swim finds that with Lunesta(Eszopiclone)and Ambien(Zolpiderm)that a person doesn't really go to sleep unless they willingly want to provided they take the reccomended amount and don't over do it as in if a person stays up and busy on these drugs they won't go to sleep.
