Letter commenting and critiquing an the publication of Schilt and colleagues appearing in the same journal in 2007 reporting impaired verbal memory in people reporting low to moderate ecstasy use. Krebs and Johansen comment on range of test scores, likelihood of retest effects over the study period, issues relating to cumulative and per occasion drug use, and effects of stereotype threat on test performance. The authors also mention current trials of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy
