meth seems to be quite available in the us as well as in asia or eastern parts of europe.
but when you ask someone here almost noone knows it, although speed (amphetamine) is widespread...

It's all in the availability of precursers. Heroin on the other hand is prolly easier to find in you neck of the woods.
