What do I do about a friend's Ketamine problem?

First off, this thread is not about swim, as swims drug of choice is base.

However.

Swims friend has been doing K for about 2 years now, she started off as most people do here and there, and the last time swim spoke to her, all she was interested in was if swim could hook her up with K when she got home.

Swim is worried.

What should swim do? I don't particularly want to buy her some K, but I know if I don't she'll go and buy some herself, and probably a hell of a lot.

Swim's thinking should he buy some, but only a gram or so?

Swim really wants to speak to her about it but swim now feels distanced, plus swims friend can be very fiery.

Swim is just worried, swims friend is a really intelligent lovely girl and he doesn't want her going down the shitter.

Its hard to give you any real advice on this one. You seem to be asking whether "enabling" behavior is appropriate in this circumstance. The textbook answer would be no - your friend is going to use her DOC in the quantities she chooses to do it in with or without you until she is ready to stop.

I understand and sympathize with your concern for her, however. If she is someone important to you it is difficult to stand by and watch her put herself in danger and make bad decisions.

If I were in your situation, I would take care of myself first, and not let her drag you in to her problems. You should make your concerns clear to her - she will come to you when she wants or needs help.
