International - Drug War POW's

I thought it would be cool to compile a list of POW's from this aweful war. Please post names & information about people who have dared to stand up for what is right & put their lives, the lives of their family and friends, and maybe even more importantly their freedom & rights to be a free citizen in a free world.

The names that come to mind immediately are:

Marc Emery - Being extradited to the US for selling cannabis seeds to Americans and instructing how to grow them.
Those associated w/ the llama tribe - In the face of an outrageous and deadly war on drugs and LSD, these people stood up to supply free-thinking people w/ this extremely important tool for humanity.

Legal matters with both of these people are currently on going to the best of my knowledge.

I think the unsung heroes are those people, innocent of any crimes to begin with, are threatened and eventually charged with drug violations by the DEA thugs in revenge for not testifying against friends or family.

This is a sad and common occurrence.

This is indeed very true...and it is sad that not enough people are in the position to take on these charges using the legal help they need. In order to even begin to get a fair drug case in today's world one needs expert legal help, which is no small fee...

Casey William Hardison, psychedelics chemist and activist currently imprisoned after a 20 year sentence for making LSD. He chose to be his own lawyer which may or may not have been a smart move, his case presentation is a great read though, arguing that the war on drugs is a war on consciusness and free thought. His correspondances with several gov. officials can be found on the web. Anyone introducing more LSD into this world is a friend of SWIM.
