Focalin help Problems?

Here is SWIM background;
Diagnosed with adhd years back and took ritalin 2 or 3 times a day.
Then SWIM was switched to Concerta (not sure it worked very well), then Ritalin LA.
The Ritalin LA was making SWIM kind of anxious.
SWIM did try addreall for about 2 months, felt great but could not eat well on it.

Doc then gave SWIM Focalin. It is supposed to be safer ???
SWIM has used it for about 3 years now. SWIM thinks it was working well until recently. SWIM takes 10mg in the morning, and 10mg around 2pm.

SWIM feels extra stressed out. Anxiety over everything, and down (for no reason). SWIM finds themself arguing with girl friend and parents more.
Example: If SWIM can't find checkbook or stuck in rush hour traffic, SWIM gets super aggitated. SWIM might beat on the stearing wheel.
SWIM diet did not change, blood work ok, life otherwise is ok, but something is wrong. The doctor has not given SWIM any real answers, but gave some Tenex for anxiety, stress. It helps SWIM a little, but it still doesn't seem right.

Anyone have any info to help SWIM?

I have been told that Focalin XR is basically double-strength, time released Ritalin. This is probably why SWIY is having a problem with it if SWIY had the same problem with Ritalin. (Focalin XR is dexmethylphenidate hcl and Ritalin is Methylphenidate hcl)

I hope this post isn't too late to help SWIY...I found it by accident while doing a search for Tenex.

l-ismoers of drugs do alot more to the high than one would think. focalin(dexmethylphenidat) is more pleasurable imo than cocaine and definitely more pleasurable than ritalin. ritalin is D/L-methylphenidate and focalin is pure cns penetrating D-methylphenidate so it has different effects.

Swim seconds the opinion concerning the feel of Focalin and that of Cocaine. Many people seem to be mystified but the original amphetamines although denied and chemically changed were supposed to be coke in a pill. However, the challenge was extending the duration for the product to sell. However, euphoria is temporary so Focalin along with Ritalin, Adderall, etc. when cut short are most often better than coke. SWIM knows that the anxiety is impossible to run around because noradrenaline levels are very high. Try drinking a lot of fluids, take a multivitamin to replenish dopamine & consider either a natural anxiety relief like exercise according to SWIM or go for the benzodiazepenes.
