Re: hydro withdrawl
My friend SWIM has a legal prescription from his doctor for Lortab 7.5's for his chronic back pain due to his work...
Anyway, regular old tylenol or ibuprofen would work somewhat, whereas obvsiously hydrocodone is a lot more fun and relieves pain better. My friend's got a pretty high tolerance, takes 3-4 pills at a time in the evening when he gets home from work with a couple beers. His liver enzymes went up, concerned, he stopped taking all tylenol and opiates to have his liver checked... he stopped for 3 weeks. Good news, liver enzymes came back down to normal... probably combination of alcohol + tylenol what irritated his liver. Anyway, for those 3-4 weeks of no more opes, he knew he was going to quit, so he rationed himself down from 4 pills a night, to 3 for a few days, then 2 for a few days, then down to 1 a day... THEN he switched to Tylenol #3 codeine tabs, 4 at a time, then down to 3, then finally 2 per night to ween him off opes. Process took about 1 month to ween down... he still had some slight withdrawls, but found that Ambien and Valium were his friend to help him sleep at night. In terms of actual "withdrawl" symptoms... SWIM says it wasnt so much a physical withdrawl of pain and fever, more so a mental withdrawl as it was such a habit to pop some pills and beer cans together. Mind you, SWIM had this habit for over 2 years... SWIM feels fine now, and acually believes that he'll just stick with motrin and annaprox for his back aches, but for sees once or twice a month recreational use of "O" as a possibility. |

Re: hydro withdrawl
Thanks for the info. Its been about two weeks for my friend and xanax had really helped so far. He was taking 6.5 to 7.5 ,5/500s of vico a day. His bottle went from 100 to nothing in a period of 2 weeks. He had definite liver problems, and turned to cold water extraction to save it, but found popping them much more effective. He had been on vicos for over 6 months non stop with 6 a day (just to get a moderate buzz), and had the meanest withdrawl symptoms ever after stopping for half of a day. So as you can tell this guys tolerance is way up in the sky. He ran out of xanax when he seeked advice from websites such as this one, and it has helped alot. He pretty much thnks the withdrawl stage is finally over, but has very strong urges to go and pop some more very often. He cant get tylox here for some screwed up reason and had to go cold turkey with nothing but xanax, tylenol some 40's and cigarettes. Your info about your friend is really going to help him out. (Just another Q: What kind of high do you get from coedine cough syrup?) Because I know you cant just get it at the store wthout being asked about it or if you need a perscription.
