Combining 4-ACO-DMT and Mescaline Cactus

SWIM was on SSRIs for many years. SSRI’s were discontinued approximately six months ago. Since then SWIM has had several cactus trips, several mushroom trips, as well as several low dose 4-aco-dmt experiences. On both mushrooms and cactus (separately - he’s never combined them), despite ingesting twice the dose that gave others a strong +3/bordering on +4, SWIM has never managed more than a strong +2/weak +3 experience, suggesting perhaps residual tolerance from SSRIs.

Tonight SWIM is trying for a breakthrough experience. He is planning on consuming as much cactus syrup as he can force down. Given past experience, he is concerned that this may produce just another relatively weak trip, and so he is planning to boost the trip with 4-aco-dmt if necessary. He will not take the 4-aco-dmt until several hours in, to give the cactus time to peak.

SWIM’s question: Is there any physical danger from combining up to 30mg of 4-aco-dmt with several hundred milligrams of mescaline? Mescaline of course is virtually impossible to overdose on, and 4-aco-dmt seems very safe (for an RC) as well. For what it’s worth, SWIM has previously done up to 15mg 4-aco-dmt, which yielded only a +2 experience. He has a good scale so the 4-aco-dmt dose will be exact, a good experienced trip sitter, a comfortable setting, plus benzos and seroquel on hand.

SWIM would also be interested in hearing from anyone who has tried this exact combo, as well as similar combos like cactus and mushrooms.

My pet dragon has not tried this combination so he can't comment on that specifically, but I would still recommend exercising caution. I do not know of any particular physical danger of the combination, nausea may be an issue but since SWIY has done cactus in the past I am sure SWIY knows how to deal with that.

15mg of 4-aco-dmt would also not be very strong for my pet dragon, perhaps he has a high tolerance in general to psychedelics but has had varying success with 4-aco-dmt. 20mg + marijuana his first time was a solid +3, 18mg another time was a +2, later on 30mg was a strong +3 but already passed the plateau 2 hours after ingestion.

30mg after taking the cactus could blow SWIY away, but it may also be not as effective as one would expect due to short-term tolerance from the cactus.

So my post is fairly pointless but basically I'm warning you that there's no real way to predict how strong this combo will be and to not get overconfident.

Don't have experience with that particular combination but it doesn't sound particularly dangerous as long as one takes all the normal precautions- set & setting.

Swim mentions taking up to 30mgs of 4-aco-dmt on top of the cactus but swim said-

I do hope swim is aware of the exponential dose/response curve of most rc's. Meaning, 30mgs is likely to be much more than twice the strength of 15mgs. I think this is where most people learn the hard lessons rc's can teach. As chrisn said, don't become overconfident. )

Thank you for the replies. SWIM ultimately decided against adding 4-aco to the cactus experience.

He did wind up taking 35mg of 4-aco on its own a week later, which again produced only a strong +2/weak +3. Damn residual SSRI tolerance! Perhaps he will post about that experience separately.
