Question about opiate side effects

alright folks. this is disgusting. So im sorry. My friend swim is on suboxone for his addiction. Hes been taking reguraly for over a month. he hardly goes to the bathroom ever and when he does its the ab work out of the centurary. Hes taken some herbal shit to go with all kinds of roots, a few stool softeners, an actually two fast acting laxitives that didnt work and all they did was make swim feel semi poisoned and nauseous. However, by a miracle, today was different for swim. Its been a week since swim took any laxitive howeverm three days ago swim smoked a cigar. swim took 2 stool softeners yesterday. Swim didnt feel well today. He ate and really didnt feel good. He described it as being nauseus because he was so blocked up.......no more room! but he ate because he knows he has to. swim has to go to the bathroom a bit. his stomach aches with the sharpest pains which vaguely reminded him of appendicites. lumps came out. swim got sweaty and anxious. (btw, swim took his normal dose of sub this morning and has not taken anything that would cause him to be sick or wd he is clean). swim went home and sat. it hurt so bad in his abdoman. Like his muscle when he pushed. Eventurally something clicked and .....sorry to say diarerhia came out! swim is sooooooo relieved and it feels sooooooo good to be cleaned out but swim is worried. It was watery diarhea that was plugged up by hard shit and it was diarehia diarehea. This is abnormal for opiate users im sure. So i guess the question from swim is

A. does anyone think there is something seriously wrong with swims tummy?
B. How to avoid this and just keep regular
C. Does digestion go back to normal with suboxone or opiate use. swim used opiates everyday 2 years. used alot for 4. and has been in contact for 5. never has experienced anything like it except wd. But under those circumstances it was not nearly as pleasant as the end result of this

again, im sorry this is graphic but you guys have to understand what happened to swim and the predicament

Re: Question about opiate side effects

wow. that sucks man. swim would suggest fiber pills maybe, that should help to get the digestive track flowing regularly over time.

Re: Question about opiate side effects

That definitely does suck, one is sorry to hear it.
Metamucil or something of the kind can help to keep one regular. Other than that one would actually recommend going to see a medical professional but try to leave out anything about any illegal opiates of course (opiates swiyou are prescribed are fine though.).

Sorry one cannot be of more help

Re: Question about opiate side effects

Imyourlittlebare may have just ate something bad but the diarrhoea got trapped behind the solid stuff for a while, causing discomfort. Try eating plenty of fruit and drinking fruit juice, also drink lots of water, if that doesn't work go to the doctor as there are laxatives available that work well for opiate constipation.
