compulsive behavior question

anybody else *besides SWIM* get tic-like sometimes if they double-dose their adderall? like they pick at their skin for no reason and don't realize it until like 2 hours later and it's like you didn't know you were even doing it? it only happens if SWIM takes more than her usual dose.

but SWIM also gets all obsessive (on her normal dose [30mg XR insufflated]). completely obsessive. making lists of things to do. and ordering them and reordering them and typing them and then arranging them into graphs and charts! it's totally fun yet pointless. and takes more time to make the lists than to do what SWIM's actually writing down that she has to do.

lol but just wondering if anyone else does this?

off to go make SWIM's lists for today...

Re: compulsive behavior question

Yeah man, I have obsessive and compulsive shit anyways but when addies are thrown into the mix...oh man...

Try: organizing everything (and I do mean everything haha), make anything I touch be at 90 degrees, scalp scratching, skin picking, multiple showers with multiple washings in one shower, checking all sorts of stuff many many times(lights, my agenda book, cell phone, etc).

Yeah it sucks

Re: compulsive behavior question

sorry that you have this problem too. i mean, SWIY.....

SWIM had/has the scalp thing bad. swim even had to go to a dermatologist about it, because swim was missing patches of hair because of the scratching. and bleeding. scabs. gross. still have some but they're not that bad unless SWIMM's under a lot of stress or bored out of her mind. it really does suck because you want to stop and you just cant control it.

the organizing thing is actually good for SWIM. and school obviously. agenda book SWIY say?? haha SWIM has one with her wherever she goes and writes down a detailed schedule for every day. with estimated times. like, shower, 12 minutes. breakfast, 16 minutes. hahaa. but then SWIM will spend hours organizing something that doesn'tttt need to be organized! and that sucks. just wasting the day away. like SWIM did today.

so is SWIM a crazy person??? SWIM knows some people do things like this too, but are SWIM/SWIY's crazy? just wondering. cause SWIM feels that way.

Re: compulsive behavior question

When SWIM took Adderall, SWIM always cracked his knuckles all the time or ran his fingers through his hair. Also lip licking is another repetitive characteristic that was an issue for SWIM on Adderall. One biggest compulsion with SWIM when he took Adderall was that when under the influence, SWIM always would count and add up the dollar bills in safe or wallet. Putting number of different bills in seperate bills. Like 20's in one pile, 10's in another, 5's in another, etc etc....

Re: compulsive behavior question

hmm, when swim takes more then a normal dose, even though he is not prescribed it, he cracks his knuckles excessively, crack his shoulder, does that thing when you pop your ears when you blink?, and one time he bit the tip of his tongue until he cut it. He also makes lists of things he wants to do, and organizes things, but those arent bad in his opinion.

Re: compulsive behavior question

SWIM can develop a number of different ticks when either taking a larger dose of Adderall or taking Adderall over an extended period of time such as during an all-night study session. They range from cracking his knuckles extensively until they're sore the next day, cracking the neck, scratching the back of the head, excessively playing with hair, teeth clenching, and a number of other things.

Re: compulsive behavior question

Ah yes, adderall. SWIM used to have a script for adderall. Of course he never to the prescribed dose. He always had twitches and excessivly cracked his knuckles and excessive foot tapping.
