Does amphetamine sulphate contain D-amphetamine and L-amphetamine?

It is all a bit confusing.. what is the structure of D-amphetamine anyway? Is it the same as normal amphetamines?

I know that being a steroisomer L-amphetamine is its mirror image.

If not how does one go about creating a Dextro amphetamine sulphate?

Re: Does amphetamine sulphate contain D-amphetamine and L-amphetamine?

This has been discussed before. Please use the Search engine in future.

'Normal' amphetamine is a racemic mixture (equal amounts of dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine). Basically, dextroamphetamine is twice as potent as racemic amphetamine, because levoamphetamine has very little activity.
