Opinions - Music the fuse to tripping?

SWIM has taken acid a few times, and realized that it can be pretty fickle at lower doses in terms of full-on tripping or not. SWIM has realized that if he is just chilling with some friends just talking and sitting, he won't be tripping very much at all sometimes with 1-2 hits. On the same card, SWIM has found that on that same trip, he can withdrawal from the conversation, pop the buds in the ears and start grooving, and all of a sudden the trees and everything around will do their melting thing, and SWIM will be tripping. Has anyone else experienced this phenomena? It seems to SWIM also that, only certain music get him tripping, particularly cliché "trippy" music like Dead or Jefferson Airplane, but also music that revs SWIM's engine; funky stuff like Kool and the Gang.

when swim's friend was on ~17mg of 2ci, he kept complaining to swim about how he wanted to be at the same level of trip as swim and his other co-tripper. they then went to a psych/noise show, and only after the last band had played, about 4 hours after ingestion, did swim's friend start tripping. the sounds were huuuge waves that shook the room, and brought about great closed eye visuals for swim.

this also happens to swim on dissociatives.

SWIM agrees. Music can enhance a trip, come to think of it, he probably wouldn't enjoy tripping without a bit of music much at all. Lighting effects however, seem to produce the strongest trips from a visual perspective though. Staring a glow-stick in a dark room for a few minutes can trigger intense fractal tunnels for him.
