Abram Hoffer (b. 1917) is a Canadian psychiatrist known for his work in the development of biochemically based therapies based on the use of nutrition and vitamins in the treatment of schizophrenia — known as orthomolecular psychiatry. This general approach, known as orthomolecular medicine, includes the use of megavitamins.

Talks about wanting to have a LSD available for personal use, but only if they have a professional with the user incase they go through difficulties.

Dr.Hoffer is a great guy. He's in his 90's and still at the science of healing through nutrition. I take everything he recommends. At least it's damage control...so far so good. A friend without judgment to the "enthusiast". Doesn't like drugs or Big Pharma but he has rubbed shoulders with the Huxley Brothers Linus pauling,and for people who have done the 12 step route he was a close frirnd to Bill Wilson of AA. When AA had grown Bill went to the beard and asked them to add Niacin to the program. The board comprised mostly of doctors were dead set against it after all Bill didn't have an MD. The College of physicians here in B.C. chased him and hounded him but they could never out knowledge him or question his scence....so at 9 1, Ithink< he turned in his lisence. Now he gives nutitional advise only. I take stuff to help protect my liver and other parts. I'm not in great shape but I'm alive...after 41 years of altering my mood in some manner. So a lot of luck and a lot of nutition has saved my old ass.
