Is memory impairment reversible?
SWIM's short term memory is really bad at the moment, to the extent that he frequently forgets what he is doing and where he has put things etc. His attention is also pretty poor and he frequently makes mistakes when writing (misses out words/letters etc). Is this likely to improve with prolongued absistence?

Re: Is memory impairment reversible?
SWIM needs to clarify several things:
What drug is SWIM doing? In what form is this drug? How often has SWIM been taking this drug? For how long has SWIM been using this drug? |

Re: Is memory impairment reversible?
It can't get any worse with abstinence
![]() Also it would help a lot if one exercised regularly (3+ hours a week) and kept his mind busy (although this mainly applies to old people) What has the doctor said about this? |

Re: Is memory impairment reversible?
SWIM assumes SWIY is talking about mdma?
then SWIM can tell SWIY that it will get better... don't use anymore mdma though...it will only get worse if SWIY keeps using it... do some brain training... enough vitamines/rest and some exercise

Re: Is memory impairment reversible?
To anwser you questions:
MDMA Powder Fairly infrequently - although he had one heavy month where he took it 6 or seven times (although dosage was not too high). However, SWIM did abuse MDMA one weekend (around six weeks ago), where he took about 3/4 gram one night and then about 3/4 gram the next night. Since then his memory has been pretty shocking and hasn't improved a great deal. Beforehand he noticed that after about two weeks his memory would normalise. This could suggest some form of neutoxic reaction, but is it likely memory will begin to improve in the coming months? |

Re: Is memory impairment reversible?
As long as SWIM steers clear of such, eats well, takes vitamins, and sleeps like a good monkey - SWIM's have been known to recover from far worse episodes.
Regards the length of time for a full recovery, this is dependant on SWIM's personal bio-chemistry. Likely faster than anticipated, but it's coming. Don't mistreat the monkey again, okay? |

Re: Is memory impairment reversible?
Seriously this shouldn't last too long. SWIM has friends that get and consequently use mdma by the barrel-load; and they recover after a couple-month period of abstinence.... just try to keep yourself busy
