Addiction

Swim feels as if he may be getting addicted to opiates. He has been experimenting with them for about 6 months now, starting with hydrocodone once or twice a month with the occasional percocets (yummy) and then it escallated to fentanyl patches (his tolerance grew so rapidly on that that the first day he was pretty high the second day he had to supplement 2 hydrocodone to feel a buzz and the third and final day he had to take 6. But after this he did one more percacet high a week later and calmed down for about a month. After about a month he started wanting opiates alot and he started cutting up his used fentanyl patch and chewing it each day for about three days. This provided him with an ok sorta mellow high but not much, and now hes been doing darvocets (only thing he can get ahold of now besides fentanyl(he doesnt like fent much)) friday saturday and sunday nights of each week continuesly each week. (btw the darvocets work pretty good for him) In swiy's opinion, do you think that he is getting in over his head?

Re: Addiction

This monkey would say it's probably best to assume so and start steering clear if SWiy's worried about it. If it isn't a problem yet it sounds like it very well could become one if he's worrying about it. Best to curb things before they get out of hand. That's just this monkey's thoughts.

Re: Addiction

Yea thats what swim was thinking, but his thoughts are probably warped and will think differently about the addiction after the high he is experiencing now goes away.

Re: Addiction

is this the only swim that thinks davocets are pretty weak...swim can take max amout(considering the APAP amount max of 4000 mg.)..and barely feel anything.....but swim would love some fen patches...they would last way longer....but back to subject..if you think you have a problem swiy probably does...sorry
