Swim is going through the process of finding an effective migraine medication. His last prescription called for Solpadol 500/30 and mefenamic acid to be taken as needed. Swim wasn't having much sucess with this so he went to the doctor to enquire about what other options he has. His doctor has recommended drixoral (clonidine hcl) to be taken as a prophylaxis. He has been instructed to taken solpodol again as needed. He is to taper his dosage from 1 tab 0.025mg twice a day upto a max of 3 twice per day. Swim is hopeful that the dixarit will be effective for this.
At best the Solpodol offered him mild relief from his migraines to it worst of offering no relief at all.
Swim would be interested to know would the drixoral be likely to to have a potentiation effect on his solpodol's medicanal effects. i.e that it would offer some relief from those headache that break that would not normally receive any relief. (hope that makes sense) Swim is aware that some addicts abuse this medication, which is ooften prescribed to help with withdrawal.
Swim isn't interested in this spectrum of usage. For a start dosage used in this case are well above therapuetic level in respect of both the opiate and the medicinal product. Finally swim just need a break from his migraines.
