MDMA and Serotonergic Psychedelics

While, as far as I know, there's no direct cross-tolerance between MDMA (and related compounds) and serotonergic psychedelics such as LSD, psilocybin, etc, it seems to me that the effects of these psychedelics would be diminished, or at least altered, if taken after MDMA when one's serotonin levels are severely depleted.

Thoughts? Would it be wise to wait several weeks or a month or so after taking MDMA before taking any serotonergic psychedelics?

A data point:

SWIM and three other subjects once had an MDMA + 2C-B session, and two days later had 2g mushrooms. None of them noticed any lessening of the expected effects from the mushrooms.

I think it would be best to leave at least a week between experiences, if for no reason other than helping integrate them before piling them up one on top of another.

Serotonin is a tryptamine like the other psychedelics you mentioned and they all bind to 5-HT receptors in the brain. As far as SWIM knows you don't need serotonin available for other 5-HT targeting compounds to take effect.
