Combinations - GABA to make xanax stronger

Swim found this on some medical site and wants to know if swiy knows if eating GABA powder would make the xanax high stronger? Swim can get 1kg of GABA powder for XXX

it would seem possible, GHB is (second-stage?..) metabolite of GABA so that may have a synergistic effect.

on metabolism:
GABA then is broken down, both within the cell and in the synaptic cleft by GABA transaminase to form succinic semialdehyde. In turn, succinic semialdehyde is converted either to succinic acid by succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase or into gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) by succinic semialdehyde reductase.

Hi Rob,

Oral GABA powder alone cannot cross the BBB, or blood brain barriers. Phenly gamma-butryic acid, populary known as "phenibut," does reach the GABA complex, but the not the pertinant area. Xanax and the "real" benzo work on GABA (A); whilst phenibut most affects GABA (B).

Bottomline, it's a huge of money, as there is NOTHING going to enhance a genins GABA (A) agonst through so-called "naural" means.

GABA actually can cross the blood brain barrier, but only by passive diffusion, so very little gets through. Some people notice an effect, others not so much. A large enough dose should have some impact, but you'd want to go 5 grams plus. Also try not to eat anything with a high glycemic index like sugar, before or shortly after you take the GABA, as this will produce an insuling spike that pulls much of the GABA out of your bloodstream.
