URGENT: Aspirin + Acetaminophen

Swim has come down with an incredibly bad cough, he has come down with this on the day of his first exam. Swim gets bad coughs relatively often and knows that a high (But well below recreational ) dose of codeine works incredibly well at supressing his cough.

Today swim scrounged around the house and all he could find was a 30/500 codeine/Acetaminophen, and a packet of panadeine (8/500). Swim took the 30/500 and three of the 8/500. He knows that this isn't a healthy amount of paracetamol but he was desperate.

Anyway, Swim no longer has any 30/500 so he can't get a cough supressing dose anymore. In an ideal world swim would have gone to the chemist and bought some nurofen plus and panadeine, but he couldn't.

Swim is getting desperate, his exams are important and I cannot reschedule them. He was searching in the long lost depths of his medicine cabinet and found some 8/300 codeine/aspirin. Swim wants to know if aspirin and paracetamol/Acetaminophen are safe to take together... in which case he'll take 2 or 3 of the aspirin and 2 or 3 of the paracetamol.

Please reply ASAP, swim is desperate here.

I never have before, I need to sleep sometime before my exam (Which is in 10 hours), I live with my parents still.

This is probably too late, but the answer is yes, you can take both an NSAID/Aspirin and APAP at the same time, assuming there are no other contraindications and your dosages for both are below the danger zone.

was slightly too late. SWIM just ended up taking a few of the 5/500s and big swigs of benadryl over the week. The cough wasn't really a problem, but got a bit bad in a couple of my (7) exams.
