Addicted to ketamine?

SWIM was expecting to get some ketamine today and was looking forward to it, then found out his source has disappeared - probably for good - and he won't have any for the foreseeable future.

The idea of going without suddenly feels really depressing. Is SWIM addicted? SWIM has never thought of himself as an addict before. It's odd.

Though if SWIM was expecting a curry and found out he couldn't have a curry for the foreseeable future, that would feel worse.

Drugs are complicated.

Re: Addicted to ketamine?

With ketamine it's only in the mind. The break will probably do SWIK good.

Re: Addicted to ketamine?

You're probably right. SWIM did the test on this site and it came back as "little or no" addiction, so that's reassuring in a way. I think the thing is that SWIM's friends don't take drugs and are pretty judgemental about it, so it's easy to believe there's a problem when actually there's not (or at least not a big one). Just because other people say it's so, that doesn't mean it's true!

SWIM would be more annoyed if he found he couldn't get hold of curry or chocolate or music for the foreseeable future. And he doesn't feel he's addicted to those. Ketamine is just something SWIM enjoys from time to time and he likes the freedom of doing things he enjoys.
