Experiences - Does SWIY feel "the waves" on LSD?

Greetings fellow psychonauts

SWIM has noticed something peculiar about the way LSD (and LSA too,
by the way) seems to hit him.

He feels what he likes to describe as "waves".
As in one moment you feel totally sober, the next moment he is being
overwhelmed by pure LSD energy sometimes loaded with anxiety.
Then a few timeunits later he feels relaxed again. A few moments later
the next big wave comes and goes.

He notices this mostly on coming up, where the waves get bigger and
longerlasting. Tide is coming in.
During peak he is almost constantly surfing the top of the wave,
so he doesn't feel it so much coming and going.
Then on comedown, as the tide seems to get lower and lower,
some time and again a big wave will come and launch him high up again
for some timeunits. He will feel as he is tripping solidly again, just not
constantly. The waves then become less violent and further spaced apart.

Any comments on this? Is this just SWIMs own way to trip on LSD/LSA
or does most anyone feel that way?

SWIM doesn't consider himself very experienced, based on the 5 or 6
occasions he downed and felt low to moderate doses of LSD, and some
4 or 5 trips off of argyreia nervosa or ipomeia violacea.

That's a very common effect of lsd. Swim also has waves like that on the comedown of a mushroom trip.

SWIM's also getting this "surges" of pure energy... like pure energy is crawling up his spine, and then getting in the head and feeling just soooo good...

is this also common on LSD?

besides this, yeah SWIM knows what you're talking of except the anxiety. SWIM somehow hasn't had any kind of bad feelings on LSD up to now.

I don't see that question can elicit any viable information. Blotter is a generic term for any paper-soaked LSD form - which could contain anywhere from 0 to 3000+mcg.

SWIM always feels the waves when he indulges in LSD, except when he gets
ripped off with very very weak material.

He has come to feel that the waves are a particular effect of LSD, as he has never
felt them with any other drug, except for LSA.

He wonders if they are a unique trademark sign for LSD, and if he could tell
the drug apart from, say, DOx compunds or other RCs by the absence
or presence of these waves.

SWIM notices the waves, but on higher doses the peak lasts longer so its just intense for a longer time without the break in tripping. He says 2CE also has feelings of waves of intensity with some breaks.

SWIM definitely felt the waves when he was on LSA. Especially when listening to music, during the pause in between tracks he could feel himself returning closer to reality. Also felt waves of pressure all over his body, sometimes it felt like his face was being pressed against glass.
