influence of LSD on weed
Hello everyone, this is my first post - I've spent plenty of time reading this site but I've just now officially joined.
SWIM tried LSD for the first time almost a year ago, and just recently SWIM consumed a large amount of high quality marijuana (in food, not smoked). On this last experience, SWIM was high for over 24 hours straight, plateaued around 2 hours after consumption, and for the next few hours experienced very similar psychadelic effects as he had on his LSD trip. It was an amazing experience, and SWIM had never dreamed that just marijuana could produce such effects and play with his perceptions the same way LSD once did, and wonders what the knowledge/experience of the community is? Is it possible/common for one's LSD experience to affect trips on soft drugs like pot, or is it more likely that the amount and quality of the marijuana by itself was capable of producing such effects? Thanks for your input! |

Re: influence of LSD on weed
Eating cannabis* produces an effect very different to smoking it. Much more Alice In Wonderland than Cheech & Chong. So while it is impossible to say if SWIM's previous experience with LSD could have "colored" the effect of eating cannabis, it likely at least gave SWIM a reference-point to compare the effects with.
* Cannabis must be specially handled to be active orally. It requires the use of fats/oils etc. |

Re: influence of LSD on weed
Swim has found that for him cannabis acts like a drug sponge, after trying a new drug some of its effects seem to color his pot highs. The reason for this is that the cannibonoid system in the brain primarily controls memory. Swim speculates this is the reason behind cannabis highs taking on the feeling of other drugs (especially psychedelic ones) that one may have used before, because swiy is more likely to remember the feelings from a previous trip.
