Hi,


On 6th December this year my brother will have been clean for 12 months. I'm so proud of him and I want to tell him just that. Can anyone give me any words of wisdom that'll keep him strong for ever and day. I know it seems silly asking the question here but I can never truly understand what he has been through - I thought one of you guys may be able to enlighten me.

It's good that he has come this far with out useing. Just tell him to remember all the bad times he went through during and after his addiction. And the pain and missery of withdrawl. And tell him how prowd you are of him. And remind him of the guality of his life now aposed to a year ago. Good luck and tell him to hang in there.

it's easy to remember the good times, but if you have any pictures of him at his bottom or highest which ever term you use. I never realized how terrible i looked when i was jammed but looking back now and being clean it is so noticable. People who don't know of my past addiction(the few) will come up to me and say things like"what did you get a haircut or something?" or You look differant did you start going to the gym or something?" i'd like to say" no i just didn't shoot 200 bags of dope today" but i usually just say "ya i just got my haircut, you like it?" and think to myself if you only knew you'd run away screaming.So your bro probably thinks he had it going on too, so show him the differance of now and then. i'm sure it's huge.Stay strong and keep doing what you're not doing
