Storing Ketamine properly

Hello, SWIM needs to know if having a bottle of around 600 cc's of Ketamine, two thirds full (the bottle I mean), stored in a cabinet away from light but at room temp would affect the Ketamine's potency... He plans on keeping this bottle for at least 6 months.
Should he convert the Ketamine into powder for more efficient and less exposed storage or would at these conditions be enough and not worry about losing potency?
Winter is coming so the room temp will be getting cooler...

Re: Storing Ketamine properly

Well it looks like I'll have to answer to SWIM this time:

Taken from http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/ketamine_ids.htm:

"Color of solution may vary from colorless to very slightly yellowish and may darken upon prolonged exposure to light. This darkening does not affect potency. Do not use if a precipitate appears. Protect from light.

Store at controlled room temperature, 15° to 30° C( 59° to 86° F)."

This also hints at why some powder Ketamine some people encoutner is somewhat yellowish, as well as the liquid itself. Forunately enough this means Ketamine is a pretty stable molecule.
