Drug info - Is LSD a tryptamine or phenethylamine?

I've heard that the LSD structure represents both a tryptamine and phemethylamine, which one is it though? If it's referenced in TIKHAL, I'm guessing it's a tryptamine?

SWIM believes (and someone please correct if SWIM is wrong about this) LSD is catagorized as a Lysergamide.

Now if Lysergamides are a subset of Tryptamines, SWIM doesn't really know...

Possibly others can flesh this out?

The key to both is Indole. Look up Indole and go from there.

LSD is not a tryptamine. psylocbine is one as well as serotonin, but LSD is not.
Howerver, the tryptamine backbone can be found in LSD, but LSD is a ergoline

(( (8beta)−9,10-didehydro-N,N-diethyl-6-methyl-ergoline-8-carboxamide )).

but, SWIY can find this also on wikipedia.
