Overdose Dosage Fear of Hydrocodone

SWIM has this unnrational fear of overdosing. Right now SWIM takes 20mg of hydrocodone morning and night for the past year for chronic pain.

Often times SWIM wants to take an additional 10mg when SWIM takes a 20mg dose because of the pain however SWIM did this once and got a very bad panic attack thinking SWIM was going to overdose.

This isn't something SWIM feel comfrontable speaking with my Dr. about either.

Any been there done that help would be great.

Is it very possible to OD and die taking 30mg of hydrocodone or am I just being paranoid?

An otherwise healthy adult, with a tolerance for opiates, will need not be fearful of taking 30mg of hydrocodone. But the situation needs to be discussed with the physician BEFORE a problem presents itself.

The monkey in question needs to overcome the displaced paranoia about an OD and go speak to the doctor. Tell the monkey to do so. Or send the chimp to a different doctor. Period.

Definately agree with Nagognog.

I would also add though, that while 30mg of hydrocodone is not really enough to OD on in and of itself, if one were to mix that with other drugs such as alcohol, one could get into some problems.
