Is there a fast way...

Swim recently had a bad back problem and Swim just got a prescription of 120Vics but they are 5/500. Swims really worried about killing Swims liver. Is there any process that would speed up to push out the APAP. Also does anyone know how maybe Swim can talk the doc for something stronger? Thanks in advance.

Holy crap!! 120 in one script the most I've ever heard of is 40!! if he's willing to give swiy that much I doubt he'd have a problem giving you morphine almost. If swiy just wants to get high off it just tell him that the vicodin isn't killing the pain well enough for the side effects it's causing, he would probably then up you to percocet.

Thanks.....Swim was taking 3 or 4 at a time to get some relief and prob twice a day...swim tried the CWE but Swim just cant get it down right. Like Swim said thanks for your help. Is Percocets really that much better for pain and for recreational help?? Sorry for all the questions I'm a NewB. Peace

First, let me tell you, you may have come across a VERY cool doctor willing to prescribe better narcs. DON'T FUCK THIS UP!!! SWIM has a lot of experience going to docs, making TONS of mistakes and SWIM will tell you what he has learned to help you out.

Plan on seeing this doc long term. When you go back........you are going back cause the Vikes aren't working, thank him very much but tell him they really didn't help out at all. If you could go back with like half the bottle filled like you really didn't take them cause they didn't work, that would even be better!! Getting the good narcs legally prescribed is a process you have to go thru. You have to see things thru the doc's eyes, your chart has to REASONABLY show a valid reason for being prescribed narcs. Patience is important here but SWIM is recommending you put your time in with this doc. Half the battle is just finding a "cool" doc that will prescribe. Imagine going thru all the trouble only to find out he never prescribes narcs, only does injections or whatever.

ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY NEVER REQUEST A MEDICATION!!! SWIM always lets the doc recommend a medication or an increase of a current oxy prescription. Just figure on going thru every med he gives you, going back and telling him each one is NOT working until you hit paydirt.

SWIM heard of a "cool" doc in his area and during his first appointment, SWIM talked about the patch. SWIM wanted the oxy's prescribed but took his time, asked for something else, went back and said the patches gave him nightmares. You should have seen SWIM's face when THE DOCTOR recommended taking oxy's.

Never once had SWIM EVER request a medication. SWIM even let the doc recommend the increases too. Once you get to that point where you convince the doc you are the real deal, you are not a drug seeker, the floodgates open right up.

Now, SWIM has a 2+ year history not only with the doc but with the pharmacy too. They all know him, fill his script right away, never give him weird looks.

Take your time and invest it in, what appears to be, a worthy doctor.

Also, about all that apap you are taking. Go to GNC and buy NAC. Any place that sells vitamins should have it, probably even a supermarket.

It's the metabolites that are created after the liver metabolizes the apap that kills ya. NAC goes in and scoops up all the ugly metabolites, neutralizes them. Very effective, talked about all over the net. It's a lock, go gets some.

Haha yea good call swibc, I guess swim was lucky and went through the whole process in about 4 weeks. Now he's tried all of the normally prescribed things and can request them depending on how bad the pain is i.e. tylenol 3 for minor chronic, percocet for accute flair ups, tramadol if he needs to function better. He's a great doc and knows swim has a history of back pain and that vicodin doesnt work very well for swim. However swim did tell him that the percocet was making him too high feeling(because it was and swim for searching for real pain relief) so maybe next time he'll get something new for flair ups Oh another thing that makes a doc trust you is if you actually request to try codeine. His doc was thrilled when he turned down perc for the first time and wanted that. Then the next time when he injured himself more he went in and the doc had no problem upping him to perc and valium!

Oh and I totally agree with swibc do not request specific meds. Swim gets better stuff by saying that one particular med is making him too high and not function well enough, so is there anything strong that I could take less of. He actually got some morphine out of doing that. Oh and yes percocet is at least twice as strong with a better euphoria in pain killing amounts than vicodin is in recreational amounts for swim. Also for swim vicodin is absolutely worthless for killing pain until the point where he takes enough to barely function and he hates doing that. However swim can function pretty decently on the amount of percocet it takes. I really need to warn you though with that big of a supply of opiates to be careful about addiction! Before swim knew any better his docs were giving him vikes over and over and before he knew it he was craving vikes and the pain felt so much worse until the moment he got those pills. SO BE CAREFUL withdrawls even in theraputic situations are not a load of fun.

Well the only way to protect that liver is to get something without apap or asprin. Oxycontin is just oxycodone. Nothing else. Vicodin, percocet and others all have the apap.

Teehee, SWIM gets scripts for 240 percocet, dispensed 120 at a time. Hooray for as-of-yet unexplained leg pain?

So this is unusual ? Swim has 168 oxycodone a month and nobody bats an eye lid.
