Non ADH/D Ritalin users

Hello,

SWIM's psychiatrist diagnosed him with ADD but I dont think he actually has ADD.
Still he's taking Ritalin and it makes him feel a little better coz he can stay up longer thinking about stuff. It only makes him feel a little dizzy but except for those effects he cant say it's doing much more.
SWIM is a person with psychological problems and he's wondering if there are ppl who know if it was supposed to help within a day or 2.. coz he's been taking it for 5 days now and it doesnt help.

He has a lot of the ADD symptoms tho.. he kinda doesn't know what to do and thinks he needs help.. this shrink can only see once a month.. so thats no big help.. anybody have a usefull remark for SWIM?

will elaborate later

thx in advance

Pieter

Swim took Concerta in both the proper way (not crushed) upwards to 200 mg and hardly got any effects except elevated heart rate. 150 mg was taken crushed and parachuted and effects were much more noticeable however the crash sucked. Swim has Adhd (or so he claims) so he will be trying all sorts of various stims in the next little while. (With reports)

Re: Non ADH/D Ritalin users

Methylphenidate taken orally is not going to have a dramatic effect, it is just a mild stimulation and energy.

If SWIY doesn't notice it, he probably has ADHD or ADD, as they have lower response to stimulants.

SWIM can very much tell the diffence when he takes ritalin. He was diagnosed with ADD when he was a little boy but never took medicines.

He now realizes he's not ADD cause ritalin has a pronounced effect on him.

It feels good to SWIM but the coming down is a bit annoying.
